Is the passenger side the right side of the vehicle or the opposite?

Yes, the passenger side is always the right side, even if your standing in front facing the windshield.

 

the sides are always from the drivers point of view so, yes the passenger side is the right side.

this probably is the wrong forum but since you haven't posted here much don't worry about it. the mods will move it to wherever it should be. wherever that is.
