**Isn't it about time to turn ON the Private Messages (PM)**

Moderators,

Isn't it about time to turn the PM's back on? We can always block people we don't want to receive PM's from. I think a lot of people on here would agree.

And email functions as well. There is absolutely NO WAY for anyone here to privately communicate with another member short of posting their email address on a public forum in view of anyone and everyone who wanders by. In an attempt to 'protect' the members, we have in fact lost many options.

Almost like politics, isn't it?

(and WHY is this in the Lightning forum???)

Yep, it would be nice to have them back on. I don't always want to reply to threads, but want to PM folks instead. Nothing against most of you folks

Just kidding

EDIT

E-MAIL DOES WORK

E-Mails

I got an idea.

Email works fine.. The issue is that some of your fellow members have selected to not recieve email from here.

As far as PM's - Thats a Steve Decision - PM has never been on as far back as I can remember. If you search this forum you will find his explanation posted a few times.

To summarize - Forums are for one to many communication. PM is contrary to that ... It also uses resources

Doug

Doug,
Respectfully, you are mistaken. Steve disabled email a couple months ago. Have you tried it recently? Please, go ahead and see if you can email ANYBODY from this site.

KEWL!!! The Email function is working again! When was it re-activated? I tried as recently as 3-4 days ago and it wasn't working then.
