International Forum

I was wondering if the sort default setting last 30 days could be changed to the beginning.

The International forum is not a busy forum and only a few threads would show if the sort option is set to last 30 days.
International members might not know there are more threads to view.

From the beginning as default setting would display a lot more threads.

You can set that in your options but it would apply to the entire forum

Click the user cp link then click options.. the setting is 2/3 the way down the page

But I still think most members leave that setting to forum default on registering. last 30 days in this case.

 

Actually you can set that for each individual forum. If you go the the forum where is lists all the threads, look right under the very last thread on the page and you will see where it says to sort. The option on the right gives you the option you are looking for.

Yeah but every time you go back to the forum it will reset to the options you have set ...

That's why I referred to the default setting of this International forum.
Being an admin myself, I can set each individual forum to a different setting on my board.

so you want the system default changed on the International Forum changed from '30 Days' to ' From the beginning'
so it will display all 23 threads instead of 4 posted to in the last 30 days
so when International Newbies come here the site will appear more robust and they will be more inclined to partake?

And you say this would be a temporary change necessary only until the Forum, flourished of its own accord?

And you say you pay over seven dollars a gallon for gas and you still won't give up your F150?

And you say you've towed the line and given this site it's International flavor almost singlehanded for over five years?

So true, but I wouldn't call that "appear to be more robust".
You would be surprised how many newbies don't know how a forum actually works.

Well never mind, there is another way.

 

Steve - The webmaster would be the one with access to those options. However historically he has kept things consistent from forum to forum. Im not even sure if this aged version of VB has that option.

 

Don't go breaking any Member rules.

I'd turn you in for the Reward just like I do all the others.

 

I wouldn't know but every thread once a month, is that breaking the forum rules.
