This site just locked up tighter than a skwerl's butt for about 5 minutes. I was reading a thread and tried to flip back to the forum and nothing. After a few minutes I gave up and went elsewhere for a few minutes. Now it's working again. I've noticed it doing this almost every day. Everything will be working fine, then it just locks up for a while. Then it works perfectly again.

 

That's you being banned...then we all get together and vote and somehow you get let back in.



I think Steve is just ironing out some kinks. I use the breaks for beer runs!

 

At around 9:45pm last night we were hit by something external that temporarily brought down our web server. Total downtime was less than five minutes. I plan to investigate further today.

At 10am and 10pm every day, you will likely notice the site slowing to a crawl for a few minutes. That is when we kick off automated database backups, a process which is server intensive for a 4GB database.

 

Never underestimate the power of a mason jar.

 

It wasn't me but I did hear some goat noises at approx. 9:42pm, coincidence? I think not...
