Either

Download Netscape 4.72 (which is not as crash prone).
Use Internet Explorer
You can get the latest version of Netscape from http://www.netscape.com/ and clicking on the download link.

The crash/lock problems likely are coming as a result of Javascript errors from the d*mn ad banners (which will likely be replaced soon). As dlb noted, the first thing you should do upgrade to Netscape 4.72, as (by Netscape's own admission) 4.6 was prone to hangs and crashes. This won't fix it 100%, but it will get you about 75% of the way there...

Steve:
Upload time is 1.l5 2.0 minutes tonight.
Problem? or just normal adjustment to Java or whatever. Haven't had this problem for several months.
