New guy on the block
Not that I mind being the new kid in school, but what differentiates members from new members? When do I simply become a member?
Edit: Never mind, I just popped up as a member. Whoopee, I'm in the club. Now, where are the donuts?

4RD THNDR:
Thanks deep thinker. Me thinks me are envious of your THNDROUS Lightning! I haven't had a monster V8 since I was a teenager in the sixties. I love the silky smooth Bavarian and Japanese V6 motors, but man oh man, that good old American torque!

I was a teenager in the 70's...we must be up to the late 70's by now...ain't we? Best I could do back then was a '73 Grand Prix w/455 4BBL (in '76 if I remember correctly)...nuthin compared to this monster.

In 1970 (18 yr. old) I bought a 1969 Chevelle SS 396, 4-speed. Man, was I hot s***! I also talked my dear sweet mother (what a butthead I was) into buying, as our family car, a 1970 R/T, 440 cu in, 375 horse demon. That car was so fast you didn't even have to brush your teeth, dirt just got jerked off! And now, you can get a motor like those in a truck. The world is a better place. I hope Chevy ups the ante so that the competition will make Ford beef theirs up even more!!!
