Question Chat Room Errors

Hi,

Does anyone have a problem with "Internet Explorer Script Error" while entering the chat room?

I've tried to get in 3 Thursdays in a row and I keep getting this script error. I even tried to continue with the error and it eventually kicks me back to the home page.

Is there a fix?

Thanks,

Mark

Well, lookin' at your e-mail address eliminates what I thought the problem was, AOL.
Hopefully someone will know how to fix it.

I was having problems with it last night. I use netscape and I could not get in at all. Normally I don't have problems other than I get booted. I really miss the stimulating chat sessions; instead I watched a re-run of the 1967 Ethiopian presidential visit to Omaha Nebraska, they never brought up the F150 though

Had the same problem last night (Sept 2) using Netscape V 3.05........couldn't get on and saw the "Boss" was online (Steve the Webmaster) and thought he was "cleanin' house."

Thought maybe I was banned for using a bad word or not sending my son down to meet Raoul's daughter ......

Hey all,

Just E-mailed a request for help to the people who power our chat room, e chat. I'll let you know what they say.

If that fails I am afraid I will have to awaken the Great and Powerful OZ (steve).

Dunbarton, he wouldn't boot you!

Later,
Mark

Dun, ya might want to get with the times netscape (which I think sucks btw) is now up to version 4.61! (or 4.6something) Is your computer that old too?
Seriously, put your cursor over the two computer icon (internet connection)and see how many bps you are getting, if it is less than 30,000, hang up and try logging on again. I was in at 46,000 and had no problems.

Andthensometoo,

No, computer is a 166mx P5. The old Netscape works fine for me at 53,333 bps consistently via IBM.net.

It's not me on this end. Still can't access the chat room. Anyone else tested this again?

Question

Hey ya'll,

I e-mailed the E Chat webmaster who powers our chat room. He said he had no problems when he tried to use it with IE 5. He has a demo at his site he suggests you try it and if it works, then Steve needs an upgrade. If not he assumes the problem is browser dependent.
You can get to his site by going to the chat room here and find his link in the bottom right corner of the page.
I'll try it later. Still on vacation.

Talking

I GOT INNNNNN!

I don't really know how. I tried and failed twice.

I did goto the E CHAT site that powers the chat room and tried their demo. It worked fine and after a minute of watching kids cuss at each other, I paged back to the F150 chat and logged on... No problems, no errors...

I didn't retest the scenario again. It's the first time I've gotten in in a year of intermittent attempts and I wasn't gonna push it!

Man the stuff they talk about...
