I love a mystery
I love a mystery
Looks like we are on to something here guys.
I tried Steve's test on several other similar sites that I have no problem with on AOL and there were no asterisks, fewer hops and very quick connect times for the hops.
As to the repeating issue, I always type directly into the box (yes I know I make long posts too) and ignore the message length prompt. Never got kicked out yet and never had a repeat since the migration.
As mentioned, I get all good since I switched accessing f150online from AOL to MSN. Everything works perfectly including email notification. Well actually, I still access from AOL too but the email doesn't work here.
Next question for me is are we experiencing this only with AOL users or is it accross the spectrum of providers?
Just curious.

Bill,
The system is obviously sending the email, but it sounds as though it may be getting caught by an overly aggresive AOL spam filter if you are getting it with your MSN email account, but not your AOL email account. The forum software and mail server aren't smart enough to discriminate against certain ISP's, so I think we found the AOL email issue.

OK Stever:
Mystery deepens.
Went into AOL Spam Section and to my limited ability I lowered or eliminated all of the thresholds where there was a field to do so.
I then changed my email address from MSN back to AOL. After fifteen minutes, still no confirming email from the site to let me back in. Went into MSN and changed it back again and the email was there before I could even switch to the email field. Instantaneous!!.
Still have the load time and server not available problem, but I can live with that.
