I registered this mornig and made a couple of posts. I haven't received any email notifications. From what I've read, it should be up and running. What's the problem?

Question

Forstr, did you get a e-mail response due to my post here?

I looked at your other posts and it looked like you were the last one to post so, you won't get an e-mail notification until you do get someopne to come along after you..

If you didn't get an e-mail notifictaion due to this post (mine), did you in fact click on the box that said :

Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible.

No, I didn't get an email due to your post. Yes, I did click the email notification option in the setup menu. I even double checked it. There was one or two other threads I "subscribed" to that, when I found them again, had other posts after mine. No email for those either.

Can anybody tell me what the deal is? It makes using the forum rather hard to do. I'm not that excited about keeping track of all the threads I might be involved in, and digging around to find them.

Do you have to click on the option everytime you post to a new thread, or does selecting the option in the "edit options" menu cover you, or is it supposed to cover all posts to new threads?

The messages could be getting caught in a spam filter, if you have one setup. Check with your ISP to make sure that they are not blocking mail from our site. Incidentally, I will probably move this to a thread in "Questions About The Site" as this is off-topic of the server move.

WM, sorry...I didn't realized you'd move the thing that fast.

I posted another question off topic in the other forum.

I found that e-mail sent to my (hotmail) account from this site(F150online) automatically goes to my 'junk' mail folder along with the real junk mail.

I used to never open my junk mail and the mail is purged after 10 days.

Who knows how many people here thought I was ignoring them.

Steve, not trying to cause problems, but at least on AOL the e-mail notification thingie is not working and on 9.0 you have a separate spam basket and they are not going there either. I get tons of stuff in that basket but nothing from f150online. for about a week plus.

Just to let you know.
OH, thanks for the kudos on the own your own business thread, hope to see you in the store soon.
Bill
