I am trying to get my original user name and account back.I have written many e-mail's but with no sucess.This is the only way I can get in touch with someone by usining a new account and posting on the message boards.I registered in 1999 and I think it was a different e-mail address because I have dsl not compuserve anymore.If there is another way to find out when I could use my old user name please let me no. thanks

OK,I found why I never could log on,I did a search on joe styes and this is what I found.
Account Suspended For Posting Inappropriate Material.
Now is there a time limit on when I will be renewed or is this permanant,I really don't remember what picture I put on but I no it wasn't that offensive because thats not me.I only wanted to cheer some guys up.

I would suggest you try an e-mail again now that the facts are straight. With 45,000 members it is just too much to research passwords, verify e-mail accounts etc...
Your problem is different. Just a matter of unsuspending the account of Joe Styles.
I'm sure the inappropiate materal thing was just an error in judgement.
From what I've read, 'Banned' means no coming back and 'Suspended' means out of line, I want to get your attention and whether you come back depends upon your conduct after a specified period in purgatory.
There was a warning put out that action would be taken in regard to inappropiate pictures and I guess you missed it. You might have been able to 'fly under the radar' with one pic but, if it was in your signature, the damn thing was popping up all over the place.
I would suspect that there isn't any list of who is 'Suspended' or that they would get automatically 'Unsuspended' after a period of time. I would think it's "Suspend and forget" and reinstatement is on a case by case basis.
Anyway I don't know if six months is considered sufficient suspension. I know that Sirhan Sirhan shot RFK 35 years ago and he's still in jail.
And the Braves got knocked out of the playoffs, that would be a bad thing.
