My newest project

I just got ahold of 97+ F150 center console so I can finaly lose my console/seat!
I'm going to have to paint it because it's gray and I'm having a local vinyl shop color match the lid to match my interior.

This mean's I'll have a little more room for my stereo system, I'll be able to shift my 5 speed easier cus that stupid console/seat slightly is in the way, and I havn't seen any pre-97 do this yet.
$40 well spent.

I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but what is a console/seat? I have a pre-97 and I have to captains chairs with a center grey console/box between the two chairs that has two drink holders and a sliding tray inside it.

It is a 5 speed Ext Cab if that helps.

Justin you have kind of what I want. i just want a small console instead of a big honkin one that is also a seat.

Here's an old pic of my interior...the center console also folds into a seat. It just doesn't look right to me having a big console in front of the shifter.

So does this mean your selling your front bench?

I'm confused...sorry...If you are going to sell it. I'll buy it.

I love my center seat/console! I felt sorry for my buddy when I saw what they put in his 2000. I guess it's just a personal preference.

BTW, I have both of my amps mounted beneath the center seat, making it virtually impossible to steal them.

Take care,
~Chris

I still might not do the swap...the console should be here by Friday so I'll get a better idea of everything. But I just need more room and this look's like the only way I can get some...I'm trying to fit 2 sub boxes, one large amp, and a cd changer all behind me.
