diffrential question

I would like to put a LS in the front of my truck. My question is, is there any diffrence in the open diffrential and LS third members. Could I simply put the clutch pack etc in place of the spider gears.

You will have to buy a different carrier. Your stock carrier dosent have the little "ears" inside it to hold the steel friction plates that the limited slip diff has.
If you want to go to a solid axle you might as well go find a wrecked F350 and get a Dana 60. I dont think that would be too hard of a swap since you already have leaf springs. You will sacrifice some ride quality though.
Good luck

wow, thanks. I am kinda suprised that someone auctually knew that. I really don't mind a harsh ride, it is something I have aquired over time not to mind.
