a lift/lowering prob
a lift/lowering prob
i wouldnt say prob but you read my post about my buddy well he has a 1991 f 150 2wd and wants to either lower it or raise it i told him to lift it he just wants to stuff 33`s under the front what could he do to raise the front up to be even with the back any ideas would be appreciated
CHADSIX,
the easiest way to lift the front is to get taller springs, but then he will most likely need alignment brackets (jcwhitney carries them). just lifting the front on a 2WD might not be enough to fit 33's like you mentioned. i run 33's, but i have a 3"body lift.

I was told you can lift the front as high as 2.5 inche's w/out having problems...but that seem's to be cutting it really close to me.

I went to 33's about 6 yrs ago and all I needed was a leveler kit from a local offroad shop. No problem with the fit or the alignment, lifted the front end about 2 inches. I also installed rancho pressure adjustable air bags in my front springs.(waste of money on the air bags, wouldn't recommend em)
