will 1.7 roller rockers fit under the stock valve covers?

does anyone know if they'll fit under the stock valve covers? i know if they dont ill need taller valve covers and an intake manifold spacer, but im trying to keep cost at a minimum, so im hoping they'll fit. anyone know? thanks!

EDIT: forgot to add, rockers are going on an 89 5.0 with roller valvetrain and edelbrock 6037 aluminum heads.

They will fit. FORCEFD (or whatever his name is) has 1.7 RR. He didnt say anything about adding different Valve Covers.

I seriously doubt it.. may want to ping Joe directly and ask. That was the biggest reason I didn't use or bother trying RR on my truck. Did it on my previous stang, didn't care to buy new valvecovers in case it didn't work.. could be wrong.

i sent him an email in case he doesnt read this post. if they dont fit i think i might just find someone who has 1.6's and wants to trade, since i got the 1.7's with the heads i bought at no extra cost.

the mustang guys told me they can fit 1.7's on their engines by removing the oil baffles, so i guess i might not be able to run the 1.7's if you had to do it for 1.6's. i'll wait and see what FORCEFD tells me, if i need extra parts then i'll just find someone who will trade me their 1.6's for 1.7's.

I would have went with 1.7's but the taller valve covers wouldn't clear my a/c compressor...............can't loose the air.

ok, so according to some people from other boards, they will not fit under stock valve covers, but 1.6's will with a little modificaction to the valve covers (like dvldog said).

ok now im confused, some people tell me they have tried them with no luck, and others tell me thehy will fit. i guess im just gonna see if they fit once i start building my engine. f t hey dont, i could always just drop the stock rockers back in for a while until i get 1.6's that will fit.
