Question got a new question

ok another dumb one i put in a cooler thermostat about 2 weeks ago and now that i switched back to my normal ignition im noticing that my truck is idling funny likes its cold but i get good enough heat but the thermos a 160 degree and i think stock is 210 do you think this would cause this or really makes no difference but for rteference since i have replaced my temperature is reading before the ``N`` in normal and is exactly on the line between that and the ``C``for cold is this too cold or should io leave it or should i put my ignition module back on thanks again

NEVER install a t-stat lower than 180 degrees, unless you are strictly a race-only vehicle. Your oil is already diluted with gas, and it's wearing away your bearings as we speak.

Not to mention, the engine was designed to run hotter. Run it cold and wonder why it doesn't feel right? it's too cold. Please, put in a FORD 192 t-stat. Avoid Stant t-stats. They suck. Ford has the best for the money.

Take care,
~Chris

By using the cooler stat you are just making it take longer to heat up, which will screw up your oil as chris said. And if your fuel injected it will make you run longer in open loop which will kill your gas milage.
