HEY MAN THANKS FOR THE REPLY ON MY ``MSD IGNITION FAILURE``BUT MY QUESTION IS YOU MADE A STATEMENT STATING THAT YOUR FACTORY IGNITION SETUP WAS BETTER THAN YOUR CRANE HI-6 THAT SUCKS IF IT IS TRUE CAUSE THEY LET ME EXCHANGE FOR THAT UNIT I AM GOING TO INSTALL IT TOMMORROW BUT WANT TO HERE FROM YOU FIRST BEFORE I TAKE IT OUT OF THE BOX LOL THANKS

I'm not pkrwud, but here goes. I have also heard some bad things about the Crane systems, MSD is my favorite. Technically the stock ignition system can handle way more power than your engine is producing, so you won't gain any hosepower by changing the igntion unless you are running high compression or forced induction.

The only other thing it will do is allow you to have multiple spark below 2000rpms, the stock system doesnt support this.

It will work as good, or better, than your MSD did. Go ahead and install it. What I meant about the stock system being better is simply that. The systems installed in the '92 and newer trucks is every bit as good, or better, than either MSD or Crane. It's been a long time since ignition mods were the mandatory first change when improving an engine, because the factory systems don't suck anymore. Old habits are hard to break, though.

Install the Hi-6. You'll love it!
