Really Dumb Question

IF I LET 5PSI OF PRSSURE OUT OF MY TIRES WILL I GET A SMOOTHER RIDE

not sure, but i know if the tire has too much air it will ride really bouncy. try it, cant hurt. if you dont like it just fill it back up.

yes it will ride smoother. The down fall is that you conering will be a little less and the outsides of the tread will wear faster then the center tread.

What psi do you use??

Not necessarily, but do bank on losing a litle cornering, depending on what psi you are running now. I run 38 in the back and 40 in the front on 31x10.50's, C rated. You could probably go 35 and 38 if you dont have your truck loaded all the time. If you have 50 in them (max) your truck will ride like a rock unecessarily.

Higher pressure = More sensitive to imperfections in the road, improved gas mileage, quicker vehicle speeds.

Lower pressure = Smoother ride, crappier gas mileage, sluggish feeling during acceleration.
