i want my cel back!
As you may know, I converted my 1988 302 F150 to mass air: conversion
I found out that after the conversion, my check engine light (CEL) was gone. It wouldn't even come on with the ignition on (one notch before cranking). I checked the bulb, it is ok. It worked before and I could narrow the problem down to the wiring harness. All wires to and from the self-test connector are double checked and fine, as are all the wires from the engine harness to the dash. What I can't find is where the information from the computer goes back to the light in the dash. Some wiring diagrams I've studied say the wire form pin 17 goes not only to the self test plug (that's where I've gotten my KOEO codes from) but is spliced into a wire that goes to the dash. In my wiring harness, pin 17 only goes to the self-test plug. Does anyone here know into which wire that feeds back into the dash the test wire from the self-test plug (pin 17 on the computer) goes to?
