Unhappy Any help for my '79 Bronco

I've got a '97 F150 ext. cab 4x2 but, I'd like to keep my Bronco for the winters here. I think I've got a rear end problem but, that's why I'm asking. When I accelerate it shudders bad. When I let off the gas and coast it quits. Transmission rebuilt two years ago, low miles on it and no problems. Any ideas? Thanks

Someone posted awhile back that their slip joint in the shaft was causing a wicked shutter, it was dry and a quick greasing cured it.
