Attn:Chris

I remember a while back a post about how to recalibrate the speedo...I was wondering if this is any different for a 96' and the OBD-II?

I reprogrammed my 96, the process is the same as for the earlier years. The trick is to get the right conversion constant to input. Go to your tire manufacturer's web site and look up the correct revs/mile for your tires. I'll post the formula later tonight, I'm at work now my info is at home.

I'm not really interested in doing this but I just want to resolve a little debate.....this was a topic before and I thought I remembered Chris mentioning it was different for me since it's a 96'...like when I went to hold down the trip button then turned on the truck and held down the reset button it did a different kind of test.(or something like that)

The procedure I currently have says it's for 1992-1996 F-series and Bronco's.

It's been a while but I think I used teh procedure you are talking about and it worked fine for my truck at least that's what the cart with the radar gun on the side of the road says.
