F Series Bolt Patterns Prior to 1997

After deciding to sell my 99 and deciding to go vintage, I was looking for a straight body to restore my 77 F250 Lo-boy. I did come across a 78 2WD that is in too good of shape to use for a parts truck so I might restore both.

My question is this. I know that in 97 Ford went to a new bolt pattern on the F-150s. Is the bolt pattern the same for 1996 pickups all the way back into the early 70's? I'd like to get some on the Ford aluminum alloys off of a 87-91 and I have no idea if they will fit.

The bolt pattern is 5x5.5 I don't think is has changed prior to 96', a kid with a 86' F150 is running around with my stock wheels now.

I've heard there are some light duty 70s or 80s vintage F-100s which had the smaller 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern. Can't confirm, never seen one. I believe anything marked F150 prior to 97 was 5 x 5.5.
