Good injector cleaner?
Good injector cleaner?
I have a 1988 1/2 ton, 302, 4x4. I need a good injector cleaner that actually might make alittle difference. I have half a miss under load and the old dog's a bit sluggish. Plugs and wires didn't help. Maybe the next hottest plug above a stock plug might help? Any and all suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
try having someone (prof.) clean the injectors this if anything will make them like brand new i charge $100.00 and the difference it makes my customers are happy to pay it most service shops have this machine blow the bill and see how it does
Brand new injecors are $200, just a thought. Don't they reccomend replacing them at some point anyway? Its an '88 after all. This is of course if you dont mind replacing them yourself (its not a big deal). I have no reccomendations as far as in tank cleaners, I've used some, but never had any results that made me feel like I got anything other than peace of mind.

I'd try beastie's recommendation first, cap and rotor. I recently tried that seafoam crap after reading posts in the engine section about it, and, it actually works pretty well. Only down side is it costs $5.00 a can!
