damn ive been trying to sell the one on my truck (came with the truck when i bought it) but i want to sell it locally because its wayyy too big to ship. you dont live in the south florida area by any chance, do you?
Are you buying for security or just extra storage? Want white or aluminum tread? anywhere from $100 - $400. The more you spend the more secure and nicer it will look. You pretty much get what you pay for. Look at the lock design though and see how hard it would be to mess up.
I got a fiberglass cover because I carry a lot and nobody has a clue whats back there.
Tool box = tool box = somebody is bound to try and break into it.
Fiberglass cover = looks good and everybodys got one, looks like nothing special.
PPL dont have a reason to break into it unless they know whats there. Downside is no open bed (I pull a trailer all the time) and theyre about $700 unless you find one used. I paid $125 for the used cover and had it painted for $175. Upside is a lot of dry storage (very rarely gets wet) and security while still being able to haul quite a bit.
Tool boxes and covers are 2 different things, but something to consider.
