Electric fans

what is the best brand of electric fans?

I want to put them on My Truck. Should I go with one or two, and how big?

I have the towing package and I will be pulling a trailor often in the near future.

thanks,
John

the main thing you want to look at is how many cfm's of air the fans pull (or push). i had some flex-a-lite fans that were rated at 2500 and they were barely enough for my truck (when towing, the engine ran much warmer than with the stock fan). im not really sure what cfm rating would be good for you since you'll be towing, maybe someone else can help you with that, good luck!

Go with a Crown Vic or Lincoln MArk VIII fan. they are like 19" and push alot of air. If they are good enough for a GEN 2 Lightning, I think they will work for our trucks.

Junkyard off a Police car or Lincoln, or just order a new one from fordpartsonline.com

I think this is it, just give them a call

Just bought one off a 2001 crown vic police pkg on ebay a couple weeks ago. Set me back $91 shipped. I've seen ones off the 92-97 models go for around $40 + shipping. Cheap way to go. I will post pics in a couple days and more details of how I did mine.

BTW, I have a 351 and pull a trailer at least 3x a week and it has done fine wired only on the low speed. More than a sufficient fan. You do have to trim the shroud.

Ill give more details on the install later, as I am gonna re-do my wiring setup, wire up the high speed on a toggle switch, and get pics...
