Question 1992 Ford Factory alarm system ?

Hi, all...

I've got a defunct Ford Factory alarm system in my 1992 F-150. The alarm box must remain connected for the power door locks to function at all. My question is...can I get a new alarm system that is a direct swap for the Ford system, with same connectors and wiring, that will allow me to do keyless remote entry? If not, is it relatively easy to hook up a new system using existing wiring? ...same 'siren' or new one?

This isn't high priority. Just doing research for future projects.

Thanks in advance...

the factory alarm is tied into your BODY CONTROL MODUAL this is what the alarm reads off of to tell it what is happening im pretty sure an aftermarket alarm actualy reads off of that modual also i would have somebody qualified to do the job and TRUSTWORTHY and doubt you will have a problem.
As for doing it yourself there are alot of wires you need to find and MANY colors unless you have a complete wire specs and know how to read them i would leave it to the pro`s.
