Exclamation No!

****! I got the valve cover gasget problem fixed, but i took off the radiator hose bracket and for got to tighten in back up, so antifreze all over! as i pull into school smoke smoke! I get home and wash it off with water (bad idea?) now she won't start! Cranks over but drr drr drr crenk(something like that) Please help, should i go get one of those tester deals that tell me whats wrong?

Those testers don't tell you everything.

Chances are you got the ignition stuff wet when you hosed it down. Try taking the distributer cab off and making sure it's dry.

If it still doesn't start, check to see if you have spark, if you do, then see if you have fuel pressure at the scrader valve on the fuel rail (just depress the valve with something to see if gas squirts out, like a tire valve, just watch your eyes!).

Then let us know if you need more help, probably just a wet distributer though.

if it is water in the distributor cap, try spraying a little wD-40 on it. good luck, hope you get it fixed!

Ok guys, i got it fixed like 5 minutes after i posted, lol But it was the distributor cap, it had water in the top so i blew it out and sprayed the wd 40, someone on line i know told me, and thanks for posting though, seems everyone knows the wd 40 trick.....

You always seem to have bad luck. Did anyoen comment at school about the smoke LOL. All my friends would have been like piece of crap Ford. Then when I got it fixed, I would go and smoke em in a race LOL.

Yea, they're like wtf is going on, i'm like, "I" forgot to tighten this back up. we got a rain today and there was one kid in a 97 Dodge Dakota 4x4, whom i said to, if u wanna make fun of my ford lets go off roading, bitch, and we did and guess who got to pull a dodge out? And yes, i have **** for luck.
