After all I went through yesterday, the first thing that happened this morning when I went to start the truck, was it killed immediately, which is something it hasn't done since I took the chip out, so yes, the chip is no good, and has to come out. ****ing A. I was soooo close.

I would be very suspect of that myself. I've heard through the rumor mill about those guys not blocking wheels and tearing up garage doors!

That sucks. I know you really liked the chip. From what I've seen all chips seem to be hit and miss at times... I wish someone made a good programer for the earlier model trucks.

I have considered a chip off and on, especially to help with the slushbox. Between using premium fuel and the intermittent problems I've leaned more away from it.

At least you got the good plugs back in. And in the long run, knowing the truck will always get to where you are going is worth a loss in the HP department.

 

Someone does make a good chip for the older trucks. Call Mike T and get one from him. He power is awesome, and the gas doesnt bother me, because I get about 2 - 3 mpg better than I used ot and I'm driving it harder. LOL I love the chip.

No, no damage to the truck at all. Those diamond plate protectors wore well!

Actually, I think the diamond plate is the reason the door got mangled, rather than just sliding along the bed if it was without protectors.

Sorry dude...just read the post about everything...couldn't help but snicker a little at the truck rolling back thing...I just ripped out my NGK's last week also...they suck on these things but are great in my friends civic..i just through in some Accel U-grove plugs that gave me a quite noticable difference.

Aint nuthin a few beer won't help with.
