LOL it's a job and some bodies got to monitor the companies network and emails. It's boring as hell so every once in a while when I catch a virus someone tried sending us I'll let it slide through my lines so I can get some action later in the day when someone calls me saying their computer is doing weird things.

Jaguar is right now sitting in my lap, purring. I just got home with it, and am about to install it into my G4. I asked the guy at the Mac store what he thought about it (he's brutally honest about everything), and he said it's great, and then went on for 5 minutes about how easy it is to network now. I hope the other features are cool, because my network is a network of one.

Inside the box lid, it mentions 12 of the "over 150 major new features", and among them is one called "Rendezvous" (leave it to Apple to pick a name I can't spell without looking twice). Beneath it is simply written:

A revolutionary networking technology, Rendezvous lets you link computers and devices instantly without any configuration.
I gotta tell you, I hated configuring pc's in my networking class.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share.

Take care,
~Chris

Well after my long walk to work today (*****ing Truck), I watched several e-mail pass thru the SMTP server from our Mac dealer and our media dept. They are looking into the Jaguar stuff. Did you see the ad Gateway has for the iMac? Fu*king Funny.

I am gonna buy a bicycle. Two sprockets, one chain, and two little skinny tires..

What about a cute little horn?

Sorry to hear about the truck man....I had high hopes about the rebuild...but you have something new to learn off of now. Good Luck for the future vehicle.

Don't forget the dual baskets over the back tire, with daisies on them.

Haven't seen the comercial, but I was the first person in Ventura County to try out the new 17" widescreen iMac a couple weeks ago. My buddy bought one, but was out of town when the truck came to town, so I picked it up for him. Since it was going to be a few days before he was ready for me to bring it over and install it for him (3 wires and 3 mouse clicks, and he didn't think he'd be able to figure it out!), I set it up in my garage and played with it. That is the sweetest little machine I have EVER seen. The screen was so bright and vibrant, my two CRT monitors look old and dull now! The thing was very fast and responsive, and multitasked killer. I just loved how simple it was, too.

Take care,
~Chris

Here's another picture that I couldn't post in here.

Can you believe that little guy has 1.5 gig's of RAM, an 80 gig HD, a CD/DVD burner, killer video card, etc. in it, all in that little half-of-a-volleyball sized base??? One word: Gnarly.

Take care,
~Chris

Chris,
Is the sheet under the iMac to catch "spillage" from all the excitement the screen image provides?

Best radio ad in a while... MGD ad...

"Thats not oil leaking under the car, it is sweat from all that horsepower......"

BTW.... My PC, TWO Pentium Xeon Processors, 2 GB RAM, 200 GB in HDDS , 21" Monitor, DVD, CDRW, Bose Speakers, Windows XP, Office XP, Morpheus 2.0

All of our enterprise systems are running them. Mostly the cluster boxes, but a few of them made their way home for a visit... HEHE.

Just borrowed of course...

LOVE THEM, Makes Chris's G4 seem like a 286

hey y'all ltns .,

well i've always been a windows fan and yes win9x sucks to network . takes a bit of knowledge about the os most ppl dont have . but i've been setting up 2 new pc's at work and they are xp boxes . i dont see how ANYTHING could be easier to network then XP. a few clicks and they were networked . simple as can be . i've never been much of a fan for mac's either . but then again i've never messed with one . but when windows was in it's infant stage mac's blew them out of the water . from what i here if you are into graphics and graphical based programs you cant beat a mac . other then that i couldnt tell you . . only thing i can tell you is i wouldnt own any thing i didnt build myself . i wont buy a name brand computer everyone i have i built . that said i guess a mac is out of the question <EG> :-)
