shifter or trans?

shifter or trans?

well ive got a little prob my trans (5speed 4x4) when i shift it grindes in 3rd gear up shifting only if i let the rpms drop it dont do it , iwas thinking schro but i also have the prob with when i go from rev to 1st or 2ed i cant get i gear without alot of yanking around this isent all the time and it doesent matter what the rpms are shifter maybe? clutch is good.

had the same problem, ended up being the slave cylinder

bled the slave cylender , there was no air in the system , checked to make sure the releice bearing was working ok everything looked like it was pushing the pressure plate in far enough ,test drive the prob still there any more idea of what else to look at? mike

how sure are you about the clutch being good?

shifter trans

well i think im going to get a new clutch pressure plate bearing pilot bushing and what ever else i need at end of the month ,the truck has 134k on the clock so it might be the best to change it. thanx sx ,mike
