Tinting A Broken Windshield
CHADSIX,
I am not a professional tinter by any means...get that out straight away.
If the crack at the top where you intend to tint ?
If so you could get a nice glue down day one, but later it might buble up, and look like crap ( similar to the tint on the back window of a shade tree mechanic ricer, with all the little white air bubbles ).
If the crack is at the bottom, out of the line of the top tint, then no it should have no impact what so ever, and you can wait on replacing the window until the DMV gets on you.
Another good thing about this, is it gives you a place to test tint, versus your new window if you have done tinting, or done tinting reciently.
Just a few thoughts on it.
