Side gapping?
Side gapping?
ok, I've seen some talk about side gapping plugs, I've heard it helps sometimes with acceleration and gas mileage...and I see it in Chris's (PKRWUD)sig....but what does it mean?
Wild geuss but is it cutting the electrode?

It's actually a long story, and I'm on my way to a job. I'll be back this afternoon, and I'll tell you what worked for me.
BTW, Justin, did you watch the video in the link in my sig (below)??? It's my first attempt at making a video, and it's all of Sprints at Ventura Raceway. It's just under a minute and a half. GO WATCH IT!!! Pause it until it loads, then play. You'll dig it!
Back later...
Take care,
-Chris

no rush, no money to get new plugs anyway
I'm sorry, I forgot!
What I do that has worked the best is to use Champion Truck Plugs, and then with a very fine blade, cut back the ground electrode so that the center electrode is completely visible when looking straight down on it. I place a metal emory board file between the ground electrode and the center electrode while I'm cutting it so that I won't accidentally damage the center electrode. Then I measure the gap that remains at the closest point, and set it to .045".
Take care,
-Chris
