Help me out guys!!!!!

well over the past 2 weeks I'v had a temperature problem...the temp will stay inbetween "NO" in normal then jump up to "MA"
if I'm under a load or going uphillon the freeway at about 60mph, last week end I drove it for 3 hours straight but on flat ground with the a/c cranked up and it's fine...it's the stop and go crap that gets it hot. The other night and periodical since I've been hearing a squeeling noise after I drive it for a bit and my buddy told me it sounds like the water pump, but I thought if the water pump is giong bad it would leak water.? Is it possible for it to be going bad and not leak?

I've changed all the cooling hoses, flushed system, changed t-stat, got the timing checked/adjusted, I bought a new fan clutch but havn't put it on yet.

Thanks in advance!

Its your water pump. Had the same problem with my old f-150. Did not leak either just made a hell of a noise when the engine warmed up. I guess the bearing inside was starting to seize up and the rotating fins inside were not circulating the coolant enough.

Hope this helps, D

Thanks again!

This same sorta problem happened with my aunt's Honda Del Sol before. The temp. would stay normal for awhile then it would just shoot up near H untill she put the heating on then it went back down, then if she took the heating off the temp. would climb again. I told her it was a bad thermostat and sure enough it was. You said you changed yours so this couldn't be the problem but I just thought I'd put my $0.02 in it.

well it's for sure the water pump...it's been screaming for a day now...but I finaly got paid(new job and no one knew who I was so they didn't no who to give my check to for a week now!) and got a new water pump/hoses.
I hope the water pump goes on as simple as it seems.
