Finally made the purchase

Tonight when I was driving I finally got pissed off with the bouncing speedo. I decided that I was gonna order the new instrument cluster + get one with a tach. I went to fordpartsonline.com and order the one with the tach $389. I think its worth it. I will now be able to tell how fast I'm going, and I will be able to use the tach and cruise control. Thanks for all the input from you guys. I tell yall how the install goes.

Well fordpartsonline was a big hassle. I can only get a direct replacement cluster. Therefore I can't get one with a tach. I would also have to send the mmy old cluster and until they recieved it I would have to pay them $400. I cancelled my order later. I then decided to call this one junkyard and they said they had a cluster from a 95 f150 eddie bauer. I go their and to my luck only $100 and I was out the door. The best part was that the only gauge cluster they had was that one. Out of all the vehicles froom every year ever made they had the one just for my truck. Also it had a tach what mmore could I ask for. Well after I went messing around with a Gen 1 L (revin engines back and forth just having fun) I went home and installed it and everything works. I connected the 3 computer plugs to the back and hooked up the transmission wire cranked it upo and everything was running. Thanks for all the help on this forum and ill have pics up tomorrow even though yall know what it looks like

So, you didn't have to mess with the mileage? Good deal. With a tach too, nice.

A hundred bucks, cant beat that with a stick.
