fuel injection nightmare

YES, I HAVE A 1992 FORD F-150 1\2 TON 4WD WITH THE STRAIT SIX 4.9 LTR. IVE HAD THE TRUCK SINCE IT HAD 70,000 MILES ON IT. NOW IT HAS 140,000 BUT I WAS GETTING A CODE 173 EGO NOT SWITCHING RICH EXAUST BANK #1 WELL THAT WAS THE CAUSE OF LEAKING FUEL INJECTORS, I REPLACED ALL 6 FUEL INJECTORS,WICH FIXED THAT, AND ABOUT 2 WEEKS LATER A CODE 179 POPPED UP AND IT SAYS ENGINE HAS REACHED ITS ADAPTIVE LIMITS EXAUST BANK #1 STILL RICH AND KEEPS POPPING UP EVERY TIME I DRIVE IT SO SINCE IVE REPLACED THE 02 SENSOR,MAP SENSOR,FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR,THROTTLE BODY AND INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKETS,EGR AND EVP SENSOR,BREATHER PCV VALVE,AIR FILTER(K&N)PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING THERE IS TO REPLACE WENT THROUGH THE ENTIRE EMISSIONS SYSTEM CHECKED TIMING AND I AM TOTALLY LOST MY FUEL PRESSURE AT IDLE IS ABOUT 43 PSI AND NEVER GOES OVER 55 PSI WHILE DRIVING I ALSO HAD THE TOP TECH AT WENDAL FORD UNDER THE HOOD AND HE EVEN GAVE ME THE ``BLANK`` LOOK AND SAID TO TRY A FUEL PUMP WELL IM HAVING A RICH CONDITION HOW WOULD THAT BE THE VEHICLE IS TRYING TO TAKE FUEL AWAY FROM THE ENGINE NOT HAVING A PROBLEM GETTING IT THERE HE SAID RICH MEANS LEAN AND LEAN MEANS RICH IM A MECHANIC AND IVE NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE BUT IM A TRANNY MAN I HONESTLY THINK HES FULL OF **** BUT HE WAS TRYING TO HELP AND SAVED ME A BIG DEALER BILL HAS ANYBODY RUN INTO THIS ON A SIMILAR VEHICLE ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANKS!

did you erase the computer after you did the fuel injectors..like diconnecting the battery and leaving the headlights on for 10 minutes or something? I forgot how to erase it

You should really pick up a factory repair manual that shows you how to test this stuff. Chances are half the stuff you replaced was ok. At this point though if everything checks out good and you can't find the problem you might try a new ECU. Maybe you could get one from a junkyard, or borrow it from a friend with the same truck. Just make sure it's the right part#

Since you already replaced the O2 sensor look for an exhaust leak upstream of the sensor(motor side). Maybe try another O2.
