tires

well i went looking for new tires today , and found some 31-10-50s for a good price 94.00 per tire without all the extras like balance stem road hazerd, now ive got the stock rims that are 7in . the sales rep told me that the 31s are almost 1.5in wider then the 235-75s that i have on now and he wouldent put them on 7in wheels, i really dont think it be a problem , idont want to by new rims just yet any one had trouble doing this.

I know that when i went to 35's i had to get 10 inch wide rims. You could probably sqeeze the tires on to your stock rim since it's only a small difference but i think you would be better off with the new rims. You can get really nice american racing chrome rims for $75 a piece.

BFG recommends a rim width of 7"-9" with that size tire. If yours are 7" you would be on the lower edge of their recommended range. Other brands MAY vary, best to ignore the sales puke and check the tire manufacturers recommendations.

If you're interested in a set of used but excellent 15" x 7.5" with 5 x 5.5" bolt pattern "Alcoa" style Ford factory rims from a 96 e-mail me privately at mgrove@nls.net. I'm in OH so we can probably work something out.

Chrome rims, i highly doubt it for 75 a piece, they're probably polished aluminum or alloy, but not chrome, chromes are like 180s... and as for wheel size, you have 7.5, not 7, it should work just fine, i bought new wheels because i wanted a different look, the factories are ****... IMHO.. I got the Eagle Alloy #55's, they're 15X8 and they're alloy's and were like 85 a piece, well, 325 for the set.. and i got BF Goodrich All-Terrain t/a's 31*10.50*15's, they were 75 a piece.... I say go for it, there's been alot of our trucks i've seen on ebay with them, i don't see why they wouldn't work. And where i got my wheels and tires was an hour drive away, and was WELL worth it. It is called Mayberry Farms.. They have GREAT deals!
