tempature below normal

92 Ford f150 5.8

Had replaced the thermostat last year, the guy sold me a 185 degree thermostat, well the tempature never rose above the N in normal and it really never got hot, so I replaced it with a 195 acouple months ago, still does not want to climb, is there a problem? I've read wherer the valves like to work at a certain temp and not sure wheather to be concerned or not.

Thanks
ron

does it at least get to the N or is it actually lower than the N? mine has always ran between the N and the O so my temp isnt too much higher than yours.

temp staying below normal

It stays at the N or just below. A lot of times you can tell when the thermostat opens, because it will actually go to the letter O, then drop back down.
Should I go with a higher degree thermostat, or just leave it.

If the sender itself was bad, I would expect the heater to get hot, but it still stay warm. Warmer then the 185 degree, but not what you would expect for 195 dergrees.
