my pics MIA

I sent in 4 rolls of film and got back 2. Freekin retards.

I know you guys have been dying to see my truck, but they lost my film. Now that digital cameras are affordable the film developers have shot themselves in the foot this time. I know I'm pretty lazy about pics so suggestions on good cheap digi-cameras are needed. Thanks

Yeah, as usual, he's right. I bought mine on sale at Good Guys, here in Ventura, just over a year ago, for $249. It was normally $399. By todays standards, it's old, but it works killer, and has saved me thousands in film and developing costs! Mine is an Olympus D-490 (I think). It's only got a whatcha-ma-call-it of 1.3 doohickies, whereas the new standard is 3-something, but 1.3 works great. I blow up pics and print them in 8"x10", on photo paper, and you can't tell it's not professionally done. My Grandfather, who was an avid photographer, but died 20 years before digital cameras, always said to go with Olympus, so I did. I've been more than happy.

Take care,
-Chris

In all fairness, the print quality is only going to be as good as the printer. having never owned a HP printer, I can't give you a fair answer, but even if it doesn't, there are Epson printers available for $99 that are mind-blowingly good.

Take care,

Pictures came in. They called and said they were misplaced. I'm still gonna look for a digital.

Now, I gotta head over to my Dads and scan some...another week or so...he lives 20 minutes away.
