New plates

finally got my license plates changed to jersey from pennsylvania after 17 years with the truck living here in jersey. I had pennsy tags cuz it used to be cheaper over there, but not its about the same so i finally switched. Sucks though that jersey needs two tags, looks like crap on my HD truck. o well. Heres the before and after pics. battleship tags were like 50 bucks extra and it goes to help to keep the ship open to tours and such. Post any pics of vanity tags if ya got em.

I just hope that i pass emmisions without needing too much cuz i've been exempt in pa for the last 4 years cuz i only put on about 4k miles a year on the beast.

well i failed emmisions

Thanks SPROCKET_X, now i just gotta repaint the bumper and tool boxes to clean the truck's look up again. Did it about 4 years ago, and it needs it again. I'm trying to find paint to match my rims so i can repaint those. Its polar white

well i went to get inspection today, and i failed for emmisions. I would have never of guessed that this would be why i failed but my locking gas tank cap didn't pass a pressure test or something, so i have to buy a new one. I'm surprised that thats the only thing that failed for the truck being 17 years old. Guys were commenting on what good shape she was in though. Now i gotta take the HD in for its inspection this july. Nice thing bout jersey though is that i only need inspection every two years.

I kinda remember my parents having to go through a PITA inspection when we lived there before 1978. Honestly, I think it's a good idea to have a safety inspection of the whole vehicle. Here in Calif., I have to have my emissions tested every other year, but they don't inspect anything else. Seeing some of the junk on the road, I wish they did.

Take care,
-Chris

Here in Fort Worth we have to be emission tested and safety tested every year..That is in most of the larger citys but in the rual areas you only have to be safety inspected...25.00$ for the inspection..

cutter that $25 must be with emissions? cause the safety inspection alone is only $13.50

I agree with PKRWUD. I drive down in the city of Los Angeles about 4 days a month and last time I went I saw a bumper fall off a car(bug) on my way down and when I was coming back a spare tire came off from under a older chevy. Not safe at all when doing freeways speeds with hundreds of people going 80mph that are just seconds behind.
