Just &%#$ Great!!

Well now when I hit my brakes all my brake lights work but the dome light in the cab kinda lights up just a little and the door lights go on everytime I push the brakes...They act like they are working just as brake lights. Would it be a short some where? Any idea's what it could be or where to look?

Check the lights above the back window, overlooking the bed. I'll bet you got some water (or something) in there that's causing the dome lights to light when the brake light is powered up.

Take care,
-Chris

Sorry..just got back from Vegas...ok well I checked the lights over the bed and I noticed also that they don't go on when I open the doors...so I added that to my weird lighting list..the bulbs worked fine so I was stumped again....then I remembered when i put in my subs I was hiding the wiring to them behing the plastic side things in the cab in under the carpet...I was just laying them along side of the regular truck wiring but I was in such a rush to get it done and cleaned to I could hear my new subs at the time, so I did a sloppy job putting everything back. So today I went back and looked at what I did and sure enough I had some of the truck wires pinched in between the plasting and the truck body(steel) and some of the wires plastic covers wore away and were touching...so I just taped them up and all's well.

Thanks PKRWUD
