Question Stalling Out

I heard on the news a while back that ford had a fix for the stalling problem for the carburated F-150's (85 and back). Anybody know? I used to put a board in front of the grille during the winter, but now that i've gotten a manual choke that has helped alot, but is still stalls unless i warm it up for about 10-15 minutes, shut it off for a few, then restart it again when the cold weather is here. Just wondering if anyone knew if they solved that problem yet after 15+years.

Its been solved by swapping in an Edelbrock!
I bet there is just an adjustment(s) that will fix everthing. Last carb I worked on was 7 years ago.
Is your's a holley/ford 600?

I'd jog on down to the nearest dealer/mechanic thats been around fords forever and just BS with them until you've exhausted all their knowledge. I've been around fords since my first 1977 3/4 4x4. I never remember having a stalling prob. But back then Dad paid for repairs...I just beat on it

Also check the autoparts stores for applicable books, and ask questions. Carbs are simple once you've worked on a few, A real pain until then.
