replacing doors

Hey guys,

I need to replace the doors on my 88 F-150, and I am wondering what years would be compatible with my truck. I would like to know what different years have the same door style as the 88, then get the doors off of the latest model that has compatible doors. Also, I don't have power doors right now, and I want to get doors with power windows and locks, how do I hook them up to make the locks work together? Thanks guys!

Thanks Macgyver for the reply, now I just have to find a set of power doors that don't have any rust and have the car style mirrors and I will be set!! Who is Chris and how do I get a hold of him about getting a wiring schematic from him?

chris is pkrwd.

the doors are the same from 87 - 96 and some 97 250's and 350's. i have the doors you are looking for. they are on the bronco i am parting out. i think i may use the doors but you can have the mirriors for a small fee. they are in good condition. you just need to replace the glass on one side. i like the older mirrors better. both sets of my doors are power, so i might be able to help you out with the wiring stuff as well as switches and motors. let me know if you are interested.

so doors will fit from 87-96?!!! WOW that is great news!! give me a lot of flexibility when trying to find doors. I don't have the money right now to be able to buy anything from you curt73@aol.com, College has left me with little money and very little time to work on the side, but I thank you very much for offering the mirrors and your help in the wiring schemes. So you are positive that doors will fit from 87-96? Because I will order these doors from a nearby junk yard, and it sure would suck to get them and find out they don't fit. My 88 F-150 is rusting around the handles on the doors, because from the factory they tightened down the handles to tight and cracked the paint, so they have been bound to rust since day one So I'm going to get these doors within the next month or so, the one thing I am not clear on is how to connect the passenger door to the driver's side door so that the driver's door can control the passenger side door and vise-versa. If someone could shed light on this I would be very thankful.

i am sure that the doors from those years will fit. i am doing the same thing. i am putting the 92 bronco doors on my 89 f150. as far as the wiring for the windows goes i would have to actually look at my wiring to be able to tell ya.
