parting out truck

hey guys, i am in need of an axle so while i was looking for one i came across some donor trucks that were worth looking at, at least in my eyes.

1) 88 bronco, axle is the same, rear is bad tho. engine just rebuilt and has an aod tranny in it. all the glass is good but doors are rotting, actually everything except the front clip is rotting. even has a real nice grille guard, the one that covers the lights too, it is black. $500.00

2) this is a 92 bronco with the updated 92-96 nose that is clean, engine has 90 k, tranny is a aod tranny, rear is good, seats are comfy but have rips in them. (leather too) not much rot but back door is shot. front clip is in real good condition. no leaks.
$900.00

now i am thinking of buying the 92, taking the front clip off and putting it on my 89 f 150, it should bolt right up. then i can take the axle i need, pull the transfer case, tranny, maybe the engine, part out what ever else. i will have to rent a garage while i do this tho cause i have no more room at my house for trucks.

do you guys think it is worth it, that clip has got to be worth more than 900 at a junk yard. what do you guys think? and does anybody need anything?

On the 1992. You said your pulling the tranny, transfer case, and engine along with the front clip. Does that mean you want those parts? I don't think i live too far from you (Lockport) and i could use the tranny/transfer case. It would be nice to have the front axle too but it sounds like you need it.

curt 73,

Sounds like a good project to me.

Do any of these trucks have power windows? I've been looking to upgrade to power windows for awhile.

Good luck.
