update on overloads

as i mentioned in previous posts i was ordering Hellwig progressive overload springs . i installed them yesterday evening in about 30 mins . it raised the rear of the truck about 2 inches with not alot of tension on them . (i have plenty of adjustment yet for heavier loads ). they are GREAT !! my ride wasn't made stiffer unless you hit extremely rough roads . then the "Progressive" abilities of these springs kick in . i took some pics of the springs . my truck before install the install itself and the truck after install . i will post them on my gallery as soon as i get them developed .

also . side to side sway on tight corners is alot less . used to be if i got up behind a semi on the freeway i would get pushed around alot and the truck would become unstable . that also has been minimized .alot more traction . but that is in part to the new tires i had put on this weekend . another thing is when i would jump on it @ freeway speeds the rear end would jump a bit . that is gone .

well i tightened them up today . i get nothing but traction . i havent really tried to spin my news tires as i didnt want to but i have noticed when i take off at times where my old tires would have spun the new ones didnt . i only got the two rear tires as the ones i had were down to the tread wear bars (3/32nds) going to get the fronts in may. ( i get paid weekly . 5 paydays in may :-) . )

you can put these on where they won't change your ride height . or the ride stiffness. when ya need it stiffer for loads it is a simple 5 min adjustment with one wrench .
