Got my car back
Screw you.
That is just plain beautiful. I happen to love Oldsmobiles. The engine in my Buick was a nitrous injected 403 Olds (see pic below). I currently have a 1966 Oldsmobile 400 out of a '66 4-4-2 sitting on a stand in my garage. It's my project engine. It's the very rare E block, and it has the B heads with the 2.072"/1.625" valves. Conservatively rated at only 345 hp by the factory, it later dynoed at 410 rwhp, bone stock. If I ever win the lottery, I'm calling Mondello and ordering the rest of the parts I need to finish it. Then I'll see if I can find something to put it in.
Anyway, that is one very fine car. Please drive it with the respect it deserves (no offense). Any engine pics?
Take care,
-Chris

thank yall for all the compliments but the car is my dad's and he just lets me use it whenever i want but im okay with that because this car is so awesome this 455 reall has some power from a dead stop or from a 10mph roll i can light up the tires for as long as i want (dont want to over rev the enigne) LOL
Ill ge tsome pics of the enigne soon but it looks really bad right now i need to clean it up the edelbrock intake manifold is not aluminum colored its black and my valve covers are a really dark grey PKRWUD i have the same valve covers M/T but ours werent red on the top did you paint that on well im gonna try to polish the intake and valve covers with "whenol" because i heard it was the best nothing else even made it look different if that doesnt work ill probably buy some new ones unless you have any suggestions on how to clean them your engine looks great we currently just have a Q-jet carb but in the back room we have a Holley 800 Dual Feed Dual Pump which we are going to put back on it so the engine will really come alive ( LOL like it doesnt have enough power as it its)
PKRWUD man your engine is so good lookin ill take some pics of mine anyways just to show you so you can see what im talking about

Yes, I painted the valve covers. I tried the old vasoline trick, but it doesn't work very well on fins, so I repainted it, and just used progressively finer steel wool until I got the fins the way I wanted with 4-O. Then I just used Mothers.
I wish I had some better pictures of that engine, but unfortunately, I only seemed to take them when I was making changes, thus they always looked cluttered. I'm almost embarrassed of the pics above, but if you had seen it in person, you'd understand. Those pics were taken right after I changed from a Performer to a Performer RPM intake, and you can see the mess I made with the orange RTV for the front gasket (and on the steel braided rad hose!). The plug wires are not routed cleanly in the back, and the nitrous lines aren't where they ended up being. Really, those are sloppy pics, but thanks anyway!
BTW, does your Dad want to adopt a 36 year old race car mechanic?

Nice Car
My uncel had a 72 Cutles Rag top I think he had a 350 in his it was a cool car as well that was back in the days when GM use to make cars that were worth having but I still would have gone FORD before GM back in them days if I was old enough to drive way back then.
The vasoline trick is to apply a thin layer of it over the parts where you don't want the paint to stick, then paint the item, let it dry, and wipe it with a rag. The paint that is on the vasoline will wipe right off, while the other areas will remain painted.
