Question Tach installing

Just thinking about getting one but never installed one..easy process as far as the wiring goes? I'm ok with mounting and making/finding holes for the wires..I'm sure it would come with directions but I just want to make sure it's prety easy.

if you buy one brand new it will come with instructions for the wiring-its really not hard at all-the instructions will walk you through it.

keep an eye on quality though-the good ones are a bit more expensive...but they are way more accurate

It will have four wires. Attach them as follows:
Red- to a source that is hot only when the key is "on". An ignition fuse is a good choice.
Black- to ground.
Green- To the negative side of the coil.
White- This is for the lighting. The best bet is to splice it into another light wire, like one of the dash lights for the HVAC controls, etc. TRhat way it will work with your brightness control.

Take care,
-Chris

Thanks guys...it sounds simple enough so I'll get it...I just got a new system so I can't hear my engine to know when to shift
