Bilstein Shocks
Bilstein Shocks
I was wondering if anybody has ever run Bilsteins on the TTB 4X4's. I had them on my 93 Lightning, they rode better and handled better than the Monroe GP's, but once you hit a BIG bump they got really stiff.
But I was wondering how they work in a 4X4 application, because the 2002 Ranger has them as OE on the "Off-Road" package and the rear shock is 25.5" long and 16" compressed. That would be perfect for a 1.5"-3" lift on a 80-96!!!!! They have a full list price of $43.00ea so with the "good" deal price I can have the rear shocks for the price of Rancho 5000's! Now I need to find the correct front shock for a 2" lift, they only list stock and 4", I don't do much off roading at all so I might be safe with the stock ones, just need some input. Or if somebody has some, if they remember the lenths. Thanks!

Where are you seeing these prices. I checked a week ago and they were $65+ for the rears. 5000's are like 30 each +/-. That is a good deal.
All Chevy Blazers run them OEM too. I've never seen one leak or fail. No one complains about them either, they must be great.

I was recently rooting around this place www.peakempire.com/offroad/links4.htm
One, possibly more, of the companies was advertising Bilsteins. I remember seeing Bilsteins available for ford 4x4s for the rear, $60 something a piece. Can't recall any info for the fronts.
Maybe a more vigorous search will get better results
