spark plugs

I'm hoping to tune up my truck this weekend and need some advice on sparkplugs. A friend has recommended the bosch plat +4 but I've read mixed opinions on these. I'm not the type to re-gap and 'tune' plugs. I usually set the recommended gap and run with it. Never had any problems in the past with this. I'm looking for something that will idle well and smooth out throttle response. My truck just rolled 85k and looks to have original wires & cap, maybe plugs too. I have a set of bosch premium wires, conrad cap & rotor w/brass inserts but need advice on plugs. I know in the past, especially Ford DIS systems, that some vehicles are picky about plugs, prefering OEM to aftermarket.

Any advice???

BTW, I have a 94 5.8l w/speed density. My motor is stock except for K&N and bored out airbox. I plan a Gibson exhaust in the future. I'm not doing anything major, just minor upgrades.

That's exactly what my +4's did. And they're factory side-gapped, nothing to do but screw them right in

Check some of the posts in the past five days. I'm not sure which one it was (idle issues?) but this topic has been batted around some recently. Some stay away from platinum, some prefer them.
Check out those posts in this section. some good reading
