I have an 82 F 150 Phantom dually. Right now it has a biult 351 but I am biulding a 514. What all do I need to do this project and were ca I find the parts. I know I need to change the trans.

a bit off topic . but i had a buddy had a mid 80's s-10 2wd blazer with all camaro running gear and a 518 caddy motor with nos .
i think he'd been out in the sun to long ......lmao . either that or smoking something funny . had to of been nuts with that kinda power in a s-10 blazer...lol

 

Well I can't help you very much, but you need everything a 460 swap needs

I would assume exhaust, motor mounts, front accesories? Has anyone done a 460 swap?

One thing I know you need, is some good flowing heads for that huge 514.

Not quit a dragster but one fun truck. Right now its fast as hell with the 351 windsor I have in it Wich buy the way is for sale. I work at a performance machine shop and were going to see what crazy things we can do with the 514. Between 600-700hp might be possible. Then a little NOS. I plan on having the most dominating truck around.

 

with that setup im sure it will be untouchable. youll be able to pass everyone and everyhting (except a gas station, but its all good!).

 

If you have the 351 windsor, why dont you find a set of 4bbl Cleveland heads and create a 351 "CLEVOR"?

with the Clevor you can push 500hp easily, rev to the 9's and still be 300 pounds lighter than a BBF!!!!!

And best of all, you won't have to modify the SH*t out of your vehicle.

Having said that, I have a 429 built (500 ish hp) and I am thinking of installing it in an 02 f-250. The 5.4 in the f-250 will be rebuilt to slip into my 4x4 at a later date.
