What decides if a truck gets 2 tone paint or one solid color.

No year in mind just in general.

I think thats right. Mine is two tone(xlt), and I've seen a million xl with one color.

 

My XLT is one but it's a 94, but has chrome, also something XL's don't offer

 

Kinda like the "heavy half" package. A 1/2 ton with 3/4 ton springs. Or, a 3/4 ton with a 6cyl. Who knows whats going on at Ford.

At the assembly plant there are two guys assigned to do the painting, a tall guy and a short guy.

That's were the two tone trucks come from.

When one of these guys calls in sick, then the trucks come out in one color but, a lot slower.
