does anyone know if there are larger aftermarket or factory gas tanks that can be fitted to my F150? I have a 94 sb/rc w/5.8l. I believe it has an 18 gallon tank and I need a tank that will go farther than my bladder when taking trips. I would like 25-30 gallons if possible. I remember seeing aftermarket tanks for Jeeps a few years ago when I was interested in Jeeping but I don't know if any exist for F150's.

check out jcwhitney. in their catalog, they have extra capacity tanks for ford trucks. i know because im looking to replace my rear 19 gal one with their 38 gal one, that's twice as big! hope this helps!

 

ok, i looked in my catalog and found one for your truck. its a 45 gallon stainless steel tank, but it will only fit if you have dual tanks (it replaces the rear tank). you will have to remove the spare tire, though, and relocate it elsewhere. bad part about the tank - it costs $459.95. check out the jcwhitney page, if they dont have them there then order their free catalog. good luck!

Thanks for the info. I called www.transferflow.com and found that they make a 31gal & 45gal tank for my truck. Unfortunately it's a little more than I hoped. both are around $660. A new fuel pump is included and I realize these aren't cheap but it's a little more than I planned to go. I have tires, shocks, tune-up, etc to do first.
